Average sick leave in Slovakia is 44 days

The average duration of sick leave in Slovakia in October was 43.94 days according to information from social insurance agency Socialna Poistovna.

This is the third month in a row that the length of sick leave has increased. The shortest average was posted by the district of Komarno with just over 30 days, while Sobrance and Turcianske Teplice both posted figures over 63.5 days.

The national average percentage of people on sick leave in October was 3.78 %, while the Presov region in East Slovakia posted the highest figure of 5.44% and the lowest figure, as usual, was seen in the Bratislava region, where only 2.36% of people are on sick leave.
