Coalition Agrees on New Security Bureau Chief
Following discussions, the coalition has more or less agreed on the new head of the National Security Bureau (NBU), claims SaS party head Richard Sulik, with the post set to be occupied by Supreme Court judge Juraj Kliment.
Sulik’s SaS party has jurisdiction for the post, but it’s first two nominees were rejected by the coalition partners. At a press conference today, though, Sulik expressed his belief that the SDKU, Most-Hid and KDH partners had no serious reservations to Kliment’s candidature.
Kliment is not known for being on the best of terms with Supreme Court chairman Stefan Harabin, as he openly criticised him for underhanded practices back in 2009 along with 15 other judges.
