Yesterday Slovakia’s ties with Ukraine were boosted by a conference on Slovak-Ukrainian relations and security issues, which was attended by public officials, scientists and experts from both countries.
The conference took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On opening the conference, state secretary for foreign affairs, Milan Jezovica, said that having a safe and prosperous Ukraine is in Slovakia’s interests and that it backed Ukraine’s efforts to join the EU, but that Ukraine had to play its part by demonstrating its level of commitment .
