English comedy show with Damian Clark -BA, Wed.26
Damian Clark was the first comedian to appear on the Baby Blue Banana stage after it was launched back in 2009 in Budapest. The venue was a complete sell-out and his performance was simply superb. So we are delighted to bring him to Bratislava for our first show of 2011.
Kafé Scherz, Partizánska 2 (Entrance on Palisády), Bratislava - 26 January · 20:00 – 22:00
What the critics say:
“The Number 1 event to see, cream of the crop” – InDublin Magazine
“A relentless onslaught of crippling laughs” – The Skinny, Edinburgh
“The best that comedy can be” – The Age, Melbourne
“There is barely a bad word to say about Clark: distinctive and possessing a comic talent beyond his years, both biological and mental” – Chortle.co.uk
With two national TV series under his belt in Ireland and a wealth of live comedy appearances in Ireland, the UK and Australia, Damian’s career and popularity has been soaring. It’s no accident that Damian is the first comedian we have invited back after he was so popular with the Budapest audience last year.
Originally from Australia, Damian is now based in Dublin, Ireland, where he has rapidly become one of the most popular and sought after comedians both on TV and on the live circuit.
Damian is one of the most exciting comics to emerge from Australia in recent years. His enthusiastic and consistently energetic storytelling has captivated people across the world. He burst into the stand-up comedy scene when winning the 2000 Perth Comedy Fringe Award. He went on to win one of Australia’s most prestigious comedy awards, the highly acclaimed Moosehead Award before relocating to Ireland, where his popularity has grown rapidly.
As usual you can expect plenty of laughs and a few surprises along the way too.
