Holiday Hot Spots

In a survey carried out into paid holidays in surrounding areas Hungary is almost at the bottom of the list when it comes to paid holidays during the year. Slovaks top the table with 15 days per year while Hungarians only manage 10 and the Poles 13.

This year there has been more long weekends than usual for Hungarians however this was still not enough to catch Slovakia because they as well as Ukrainians get additional days holidays when a national holiday falls on a weekend.

Out of the countries in the survey the Ukrainians came off worst, however they do get the additional day when their national holidays fall on a weekend.
