Police Seize EUR 3M in Drugs at Secret Laboratory
The Slovak police have made a massive raid on a drug ring, confiscating over 1.4 tons of psychoactive substances, enough to produce over EUR 3 million worth of drugs at street value, TASR newswire reports.
The police worked in co-operation with their counterparts abroad, uncovering a drug making laboratory in the Banska Bystrica region. The discovered substances could be used to make around 1.5 million hits of liquid ecstasy, according to the police.
Information from the Slovak police also led to authorities in Belgium uncovering an amphetamine producing laboratory, thanks to evidence gained from house raids made by the Slovak police as part of operation Tulipan.
