Radicova at V4 meeting in Hungary
The main topics of the meeting of Visegrad 4 Prime Ministers today, 20 July, in Budapest will be to evaluate the Hungarian presidency of the V4 (Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland) and approve the new programme of the Slovak presidency, which is from July 2010 to June 2011.
Slovakia will be represented at the summit by PM Iveta Radičová, who is then set to hold bilateral talks with her Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orbán. Slovakia will announce the priorities of its presidency at the summit, and the prime ministers will be discussing activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the grouping next year.
As usual, the meeting will also be looking at developments in Europe with special focus on V4 interests, the revision of the EU budget, the new financial framework for the years to come, and the overall EU Strategy for the Danube Region.
