Speaker of Russian upper house Mironov in Bratislava

Speaker of the Federation Council (FC) upper house of the Russian parliament, Sergei Mironov, arrived in Bratislava yesterday for talks on deepening co-operation between Slovakia and Russia and their respective parliaments.

Mironov will meet up today with chairman of the Slovak National Council, Richard Sulik, Prime Minister Iveta Radicova and President Ivan Gasparovic, among others.

Mironov will also be laying a wreathe at the Slavin war memorial in memory of fallen Russian soldiers, and will be meeting with World War II veterans.
