According to the latest figures released by the Statistical Office, the prices of goods and services in Slovakia by EU-methodology were up 1.1% year-on-year in September. The rate of inflation did not change over August.
Alcohol and tobacco products were up most year-on-year in September, with a 7.4% growth. This was followed by prices in education, foodstuffs and soft drinks.
On the other hand, furniture prices were down 3% and housing prices 1.4%.
Looks like not good news for property investors who like Slovak booze then ..
