An analysis from the Ministry of Finance and the FNM presented to the government today states that the best deal for the state regarding the sale of its 49% stake in Slovak Telekom would be to sell it to majority shareholder Deutsche Telekom.
This is the most likely outcome, states the analysis, as Deutsche Telekom has the right of first refusal to the stake. It could therefore only be sold to some other investor with the blessing of the German telecom giant.
The stake is estimated to be worth around EUR 935 million, which corresponds to the company’s consolidated earnings last year, according to TASR newswire.
