Bratislava: English Stand-Up Comedy, Thursday 18 July

We return to Kafe Scherz for our summer comedy show where we are extremely lucky to have one of the USA’s best young comedians, Toby Muresianu, flying over the ocean to perform for us. Whilst we have had many north American comedians before, most are usually already based in Europe. Toby is based in Los Angeles but will be performing at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival and previewing that show in Bratislava. Opening the show will be a great young talent from Ireland, Neil Morgan.

Tickets are just €10 per person. To get your tickets now online just go to: www.tickets.DanubeEvents.com.

While still in college, Toby Muresianu became the #1-rated rock radio DJ in Rhode Island. After graduating with degrees in computer science and psychology from Brown University, he spent three years at well-regarded Seattle artist’s collective the Microsoft Corporation, working as an engineer while becoming a fixture of comedy clubs in the Seattle area and strengthening his style of thoughtful, well-written comedy.
After leaving in 2009 to pursue stand-up full time, Toby performed at top clubs across America and opened for well-known acts including Doug Stanhope, Steve Hofstetter, and Tig Notaro. He also began touring internationally, performing frequently in the UK and in other countries from South Africa to Israel to Romania. His comedy has been called “Marvelous” by Greg Proops, while Kristen Schaal said “I loved everything about the performance – it was right up my alley”.

Toby has performed on the Baby Blue Banana stage before in 2011, when he was a great success and we are delighted to have him back.

Neil Morgan has built a reputation in Ireland for the last 5 years as a fine actor in the theatre, particularly in comedy productions. He has performed in Ireland and around the world with great success. Two years ago, Neil decided to branch out from acting and try his hand at stand-up comedy, which has proved a very popular decision with audiences around the world. Neil has lived, worked and performed in many countries, returning to Ireland recently from a stint living in the Czech Republic. He is particularly experienced with multi-national audiences.

As we have had a break from stand-up comedy shows since April’s extremely successful performance from Benjamin Crellin, we are expecting this show to be very popular. We do recommend buying your tickets as soon as possible to guarantee your seats.
