June is Month of Italian Culture in Bratislava, and one of the events not to be missed is the energetic Bersaglieri military band to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
The Bersaglieri military band, who are stationed in Bari, will blast out on Hviezdoslavovo square in Bratislava on Thursday 2 June, starting 3:45 pm.
They will be playing a host of pieces with distinctive style of singing of the Italian national anthem from Mameli.
Immediately afterwards there will be a short concert on Hviezdoslavovo square, where the band will be backed up by 41 soldiers of the military band of the Slovak Armed Forces.
According to General Carlo Landi “This is an important event to show our love for our country and also to listen to our military”, adding how he appreciated their commitment to all missions in Italy and abroad.
