Bratislava not so appealing for businesses

Bratislava is not such an attractive venue for investors to expand their business activities, according to a recent survey conducted by Cushman & Wakefield.

The survey reveals that the Slovak capital was 32nd in the ranking of 36 cities evaluated last year. Even though the managers of companies taking part in the survey expressed that Bratislava is positive in terms of labour costs, government support for business and operating expenses, they criteria for the placement of activities are different.

The managers said a more decisive role is played by access to the market and clients, workforce quality, quality of telecommunications and also local and international transport connections.

London came out on top of the ranking, followed by Paris and Frankfurt, while Prague defended its place in 21st position, while Vienna moved up six places from 22nd to 28th.
