This weekend the Main Square in Bratislava plays host to the Danube FEST 2012, a feast of the cultures and cuisines of countries along the Danube, with no shortage of fine wines, cool beer, fresh fish and other national specialties from Austria, Hungary Serbia and Slovakia, of course.
The main idea of the Danube FEST 2012 is to connect countries along the Danube – through food, culture and tourism, a perfect show for people of all ages. In 2012 the focus is put on the capital cities with a minimum of five countries along the Danube presenting regional food and drinks as well as their cultural heritage, traditions and tourism highlights of the countries along the river.
Culture – a rich program full of national, traditional and also modern, art and folk culture on the main stage will enthuse all visitors and guests.
Tourism – tips for perfect holidays, presentations of the most beautiful places along the Danube in these four countries will attract all visitors and opens a lot of possibilities for spending time in the countries through which the river Danube flows.
Party – great fun, many live shows and a lot of people who love food and drinks, music and dance and have open hearts to other nations, this is what the Danube Fest stands for.
