Brovedani to expand its Galanta plant

Galanta based company Brovedani Slovakia, which is part of the Italian Brovedani Group, is expanding its production operations and taking on another 130 or so workers. It plans to invest EUR 11.1 million over the next year.

The expansion comes in the light of two new contracts that Brovedani Slovakia got from the companies Bosch and Sandoz earlier in the year. Following the expansion, the plant should have a labour force of almost 300, with this set to rise further next year.

Brovedani produces mechanical micro-components for the automotive sector. In Europe almost half of all vehicles contain starters from the company, and two fifths of all vehicles in the world have diesel injection components from Brovedani. These two components make up two thirds of the Brovedani Group sales.
