Former State secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Eva Simkova (Most-Hid nominee), has been appointed new director of the Slovak Land Fund (SPF).
Simkova’s nomination to the post by Most-Hid was given the green light by the Coalition Council at its Tuesday session, and is expected to be officially endorsed by the cabinet next week.
“Ms. Simkova is an expert and a real hard worker. That in itself means a lot” said SaS chairman, Richard Sulik. In addition to the fact that she already worked at the Ministry of Economy under the second Dzurinda government (2002-2006), Simkova was also part of Slovakia’s negotiating team on pre-accession talks with the European Union in May 2004.
