Business alliance says business environment deteriorated in 2Q

Executive director of the Slovak Business Alliance (PAS), Robert Kicina, announced today, 4 August, that the Slovak business environment had deteriorated in the second quarter.

The Business Environment Index that PAS compiles based on its own observations, came to 91.5 points, which is 2.61 percent down over the previous quarter. The areas that deteriorated most in 2Q were law enforcement and the judiciary, the rating for which fell 9.47 percent to 23.2 points.

On the other hand, businesses saw positive aspects in the quality and accessibility of inputs and the workforce, together with market recovery and the austerity measures and strategies that were put in place during the crisis.
