Court rulings to be published on internet

Zitnanska unwraps the judiciary (c) The Daily

As part if its plan to increase the level of transparency, last week the government pushed an amendment through parliament from justice minister Lucia Zitnanska, which will see court rulings and verdicts published on the internet, among other things.

The amendment will also lay down the publication of proceedings for appointing judges and court heads, impose public tests on judges and deprive them of the current bonus system. Zitnanska plans further measures with the aim of opening up the judiciary to the public eye, in an effort to increase transparency and choke corruption.
