The only Slovak airline Danube Wings has cancelled its last regular international line, flying its last flight from Bratislava to Basel in Switzerland last week.
Ludovit Toth from the airline told Trend weekly that the line was not meeting the capacity on a regular basis and that most of those using this particular line were Slovaks working in Switzerland who were “sensitive to flight prices”.
Danube Wings had been operating flights to Basel since the spring of 2009, flying as much as four times a week, although it was just once a week this winter.
