IT giant Dell looks set to create another 600 jobs in Bratislava as the company has announced its plan to set up a new customer services centre there, daily Hospodarske Noviny reports today.
The latest expansion of the US IT company was confirmed for the newspaper by spokesman from the Ministry of Economy, Stanislav Jurikovic. The level of investment is unknown, but Jurkovic pointed out that the company could be eligible for investment stimulus of up to 10% of the total investment.
The plan should come to fruition over the next year and help slash the fairly high youth unemployment in the region. The company has been operating its European Business Centre in Bratislava for the past few years.
Good news indeed but I note this will be a customer service centre not a production facility.
