Foreign minister Mikulas Dzurinda sets off today for the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Budapest, where he will also take part in a V4 session.

The main focus of the ASEM meeting will be security and ways of improving co-operation in this area, but also dealing with nuclear power, energy security and other areas, such as dealing with natural disasters. These issues have come more to the fore due to the recent catastrophic events in Japan.
Dzurinda will firstly take part in a meeting of Visegrad 4 foreign ministers, with the attendance of Japan so as to examine political, trading, commercial and industrial co-operation with the country.
