Foreign affairs minister Mikulas Dzurinda set off today on a one-day trip to Serbia to speak at a conference on Serbia’s EU accession effort called ‘Serbia en route to Europe; A decade on’.
Dzurinda’s trip should boost Slovak-Serbia relations as he will be speaking strongly in favour of Serbia’s integration, while also offering the country Slovakia’s assistance in the accession process, as it went through a similar process before joining the EU in May 2004.
He will also be meting up with President Boris Tadic, Prime minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Foreign affairs minister Vuk Jeremic.
