The Ministry of Environment is putting up some 27 million tons of redundant emission allowances for sale, while playing with three different forms of sale to get the maximum yield.
The Ministry will sell the allowances by direct sale, by auction or by way of an intermediary, with it planning to approach also attested customers to date with the offer of direct sale.
Sale by auction is an interesting new attempt to sell off the excess emissions, and the Ministry has already stated interest in the CO2 allowances from EU countries, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, for instance.
