By the end of October Slovakia had drawn just 10.7% of potential EU Funds available to it for the 2007-2013 programming period.
This means it had received EUR 1.23 billion of a possible EUR 11.498 billion from the funds, but this includes co-financing from the state budget.
In total there are eleven Operational Programmes managed by various ministries as and the Government Office, with the Ministry of finance acting as the central payment authority.
Although the percentage of drawn funds is low, thanks to the n+3 rule of the European Commission, Slovakia can continue to draw funds for three years after the end of the programming period.
