The new head of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development agency (SARIO), Robert Simoncic, feels that the agency should concentrate more on seeking new potential investors in a more active way.
In his opinion, the best way for Slovakia to be more successful in future would be if it concentrated chiefly on countries that enjoy the fastest economic growth. “We must focus on particular sectors, and certain kinds of investments” declared Simoncic.
The agency head also feels that the search for investors has not been given the right attention to date, and has been neglected to a certain extent. He says one of his priorities will be to go after investments with higher added value.
