Yesterday opposition leader Robert Fico spoke out against the statements of his colleague on the other bench, parliamentary speaker and SaS chairman Richard Sulik, about how Slovakia should have a plan B in case the euro collapsed.
Fico said the public should given no weight to Sulik’s comments, which he saw as irresponsible, damaging and as posing a threat to the stability of the euro in Slovakia. He called on Sulik to weigh up every word he says and their repercussions.
Fico emphasised how his Smer-SD party believed adoption of the euro to be one of Slovakia’s greatest successes, while adding that “Mr Sulik has once again shown that he is a curse in the Slovak political system”.
