Overall, football hooliganism isn’t so bad in Slovakia, but it is getting worse and now following recent clashes at the Slovan – Trnava match, the interior minister Daniel Lipsic wants to increase security at grounds to get rid of hooligans that threaten decent people.

Lipsic made his stance after a meeting with the Football league association yesterday, 21 September. He wants football clubs to carry the responsibility for the discipline of their own fans.

An agreement was made with the association that it would draw up proposals by the end of October.

Lipsic recently pointed to how much providing security at these kinds of events is costing the public.
