Foreign Affairs Minister Dzurinda heads to Germany

After taking up his post as Foreign Affairs Minister, Mikulas Dzurinda wasted no time and headed off on his first official visit to the Czech neighbours. The second country on his agenda is Germany, which shows the former PM is well aware of the importance of Germany for the Slovak economy.

He will head to Berlin tomorrow, 29 July, where he will meet with his German counterpart, Guido Westerwelle.

Germany has been a key trading partner and investor for Slovakia since the Velvet Revolution, and is crucial in terms of business and trade.
