In the first half of 20101 Slovakia posted a foreign trade surplus of EUR 838.4 million, which is some 3.7 times higher than that seen in the same period last year. The figures come from the Slovak Statistical Office.
On an annual basis, Slovak exports increased by 21.7% to reach EUR 22.57 billion, while imports were up 18.6% to EUR 21.73 billion.
In June the foreign trade surplus grew by EUR 199.9 million year-on-year to EUR 208.2 million.
