Slovak ladies golfer Zuzana Kamasova has become the first Slovak woman to win a European title after she took victory in the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.
Kamasova didn’t have a good last day, with a 4-over-par last round, but her performance over the previous three days of the tournament proved enough, as she won by two strokes over her nearest rivals Alexandra Bonetti (France), Caroline Masson (Germany) and Kiran Matharu (England).
Speaking about her victory, Kamasova said she was exceptionally happy and that maybe this win would help boost golf as a sport in Slovakia.
