Government appoints new head of office for Slovaks abroad

The government has appointed Milan Vetrak as the new head of the Office of Slovaks Living Abroad, with Vetrak to occupy the post for a five-year term starting tomorrow 10 February.

He will replace Vilma Prívarova whose term in office ends today, after holding the post since January 2006.

Vetrak has a proven track record, having helped set up the General Secretariat for Slovaks abroad and the World Association of Slovaks Living Abroad (SZSZ). He also [played a part in producing the Act on Slovaks Living Abroad and has produced various articles on the legal position of Slovaks abroad. Source: TASR
