Government plenipotentiaries changed

Slovak Parliament

At its session today, 21 July, the Government recalled three government plenipotentiaries, while abolishing two of the posts completely.

The abolished posts are the plenipotentiary for highways and the the plenipotentiary for youth and sport. The representatives holding the posts to date, Igor Choma and Dusan Galis, have been dismissed.

Igor Choma was also at the helm of the National Highway Company (NDS), but last week he was fired by new Transport Minister Jan Figel (KDH) for being a Smer-SD party MP in the recent general elections.

Pavol Tarina, who was the Government plenipotentiary for an Information Society, was also recalled from the post, being replaced by Roland Sill.
