The Slovak government has announced its intention to request additional payment from Italian enegy giant Enel SpA, which privatised power producer Slovenske Elektrarne back in 2006.
An article in daily SME this weeks says an additional EUR 200 million or so is to be demanded by the government, which argues that excessive provisions were made in the company in the run up to the sale. Enel acquired its 66% stake in SE for approximately EUR 840 million, with the buying price and the privatisation process being questioned ever since.
