South Korean car maker Hyundai Motors Co. is about to change its production plans and switch round two models between its Czech and Slovak plants.
Production of the Kia Venga model is to be moved from the Czech plant to Kia Motors Corp. plan in Zilina, which in return will be surrendering production of the ix35 SUV model to the Nosovice plant in the Czech Republic.
The move is intended to make capacity usage at both plants more efficient, while the company expects demand for the SUV to increase.
The Slovak plant will continue to produce the small cee’d model and the Sportage SUV.
