Data of the Slovak Statistics Office show that industrial producer prices in Slovakia were up 0.8% y/y in June, which is quite a change from the May figures, which showed a y/y drop of 0.5%.
Prices for the domestic market, although still lagging behind last year, have slowed from the 3.1% recorded in May to just 1.9% in June. Export prices changed only slightly m/m, down 0.4% from May to June to reach 3.2%.
The drop in domestic prices was thanks mostly to generation and distribution of energies, which saw a 5.7% drop. On the other hand, water, waste water treatment and drainage, together with waste disposal, were up 7.7%.
