The new Hungarian ambassador to Slovakia, Csaba Balogh, handed his credential over to foreign affairs minister Mikulas Dzurinda yesterday.
At the brief meeting, Dzurinda discussed Slovak-Hungarian topical issues and the development of relations between the two countries, which have been strained over the past year thanks mainly to steps taken by Viktor Orban’s government.
They also discussed planned co-operation between the two countries regarding a gas interconnector and other energy infrastructure, as well as EU enlargement, the situation in the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership agreement.
