Economy minister Juraj Miskov has been on the hunt for new investments again, this time in Russia, where he met with Russian energy minister Sergei Shmatko. Miskov is trying to lure Russian investments with higher added value.
Investments were not the only thing on the agenda, though, as they also discussed linking up the countries’ electricity grids and boosting co-operation in the field of nuclear energy. Miskov also made it known that Slovakia, the largest transit country of natural gas to the EU, was ready for more gas and oil transit capacities.
Miskov’s ministry is well aware of the size and importance of the Russian market for Slovak goods and services, and so further co-operation will be pursued.
