New Combined Cycle Plant Planned in East Slovakia

The company CPP Zemplin, which was established at the end of November as a joint venture of the companies TP2 and L-Industry Park, plans to launch the construction of a 70 MW combined cycle plant in the town of Strazske near Humenne in the east of the country.

The project is valued at around EUR 54 million, and once complete will generate around 500,000 MWh of electricity a year, cites SITA newswire.

The owners of the two companies involved in the joint venture are based on Cyprus and so the true identities of those behind the plant cannot be determined.
