State-run nuclear decommissioning company Jadrova Vyradovacia Spolocnost, a.s. (JAVYS) will build a special storage plant near Mochovce nuclear power station to deal with spent nuclear waste.
The plant will be used for the long-term storage of institutional radioactive waste and materials and should cost in the range of EUR 2 million.
The facility should be able to handle about twenty tons of radioactive materials, and in the investment plan JAVYS pointed out how this kind of facility has long been missing in Slovakia.
