One third of Slovaks unhappy at work

A new survey conducted by Social Research Institute of Infostat claims that about a third of Slovaks are unhappy with their current job or business. The survey was released yesterday, 18 July.

On the other hand, 43 percent of respondents said they were happy with their job situation, with the most satisfied being the self-employed and those with a university education.

Those who took part in the survey were qualified an unqualified workers aged 30-39 years of age and mostly living in the Bratislava region. This in itself could reflect on the statistics, however, as the Bratislava region has low unemployment and many more job opportunities than the other regions. The survey also stated that 40 percent of Slovaks are finding it hard just to make ends meet, with this tendency registered mostly in people with a weaker education and the 18-24 year age group.
