Pandemic flu vaccines to be produced in Slovakia

The State Material Reserves Administration has announced that it plans to spend around EUR 15 million on building a production unit to produce vaccines against pandemic flu.

The construction of the facility should start next March and take until June 2012. It will be built on the estate of the company Imuna Pharm in the town of Šarišské Michaľany and create around 44 jobs.

The production plan counts with approximately five million doses of the flu vaccine a year.
