PM Iveta Radicova has come back early from her holiday in Croatia to visit the flood-stricken areas of the Upper Nitra region. Today, 17 August, she is visiting the affected areas to review the damages before tomorrow’s government session, which will also deal with financial aid for the afflicted areas.
The Prime Minister also sent her condolences to the loved ones of the man from Handlova who died after being swept away while trying to save his car. A railway worker from Prievidza is still missing.
