Prime Minister Iveta Radicova set off today for the United States, where among other things she will give an address to the United National General Assembly in New York.

Radicova will also be having a special meeting with US President Barack Obama, who sent her an official invitation last week to take part in a meeting on the Open Government partnership tomorrow 20 September. The principal objective of the initiative is to look at the level of transparency, responsibility and civil involvement in governing.
The Slovak PM will also attend a banquet with heads of governments on Wednesday and meet up with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. Other parts of her agenda include giving a lecture at New York University and meeting with the Friends of Slovakia organisation.
