Polish President to visit Slovakia this week

Gasparovic welcomes Komorowski

This week Polish President  Bronislaw Komorowski will make a two-day official trip to Slovakia accompanied by his wife, starting 13 January.

After his arrival, he will meet with Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic, with whom he will discus various international themes, while developing further also talks they had at a presidential summit in the Czech Republic in November.

Komorowski will then meet with PM Iveta Radicova, parliamentary speaker Richard Sulik and foreign affairs minister Mikulas Dzurinda.

On day two the Polish and Slovak presidents are scheduled to lay a wreath at the Iron Curtain memorial in Devin, before moving to a winemakers in Modra to sample some wines.

One of the items on the agenda will be the planned infrastructure interconnections between Poland and Slovakia.
