A recent survey conducted by the National Bank of Slovakia, which queried analysts about their projections of economic growth for this year, has produced more optimistic results than they were at the close of 2010.
Overall the analysts project with 3.6% economic growth this year, which is slightly up on the 3.5% projected in December 2010, reports SITA news agency.
The analysts expect to see prices rise slightly this year with an inflation estimate (HICP) of 3.7%. There was no change in their projections for GDP growth, which stands at 4%. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is also positive about economic development in Slovakia this year.
