Klaus, who is visiting with first lady Livia Klausova, will be discussing ways of deeper co-operation between the two countries, with joint efforts to boost transport infrastructure also high on the agenda.  They will also be discussing the takeover of the Visegrad 4 presidency from Slovakia, as the Czech Republic takes up the role on Friday 1 July.

The two countries have strong economic ties and a healthy trade balance, which in 2010 came to EUR 12 billion.
