Production Halted At Peugeot Plant; Lack of Parts

Production at the major car plant of PSA Peugeot Citroen in Trnava has been frozen due to a lack of key parts, meaning the workers at the plant have been off work for four days already.

The stoppage, caused by the failure of the foreign supplier, will now be extended until the weekend at least, as not even the efforts of the whole PSA Group could resolve the situation.

Despite the set back for production, which is costing the plant millions, the company is pushing forward with its plan to up its 3,000 workforce by another 800 or so new workers for a third production shift.
