If you live anywhere near Trnava, and more particularly around Smolenice, you should be wary of a different kind of predator as there is a North American puma on the loose.
Over the past few days the puma has been sighted by several people in the village of Binovce, but as yet it has not made any attempt to attack.
The puma has so far eluded local hunters and the police, and nobody in the region has a puma registered, so it was probably reared illegally. Nobody has owned to having lost a puma either.
