Finance minister Ivan Miklos will head the Slovak delegation at the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Brussels today and tomorrow, 4-5 October, although the delegation will only attend the actual meeting today.
Miklos will address the session on the first panel discussion, with a speech entitled “More efficient management of finances and the economy,” and will also meet up with some of his counterparts from Asian countries.
The summit is hoping to find practical solutions to some of the problems brought on by the economic and financial crisis. Among other issues, talks will also concentrate on sustainable development and ties between Europe and Asia, hoping to move economic and political dialogue and relations forward.
