Singer and guitarist Lenka Filipova studied at Prague conservatory before continuing her studies at the international music academy in Paris, specialising in classical guitar.
To date she has produced ten albums of songs and melodies, as well as four albums on classical guitar. Most of her albums were awarded gold discs and also a platinum disc. Lenka also writes her own songs, many of which became big hits throughout Central Europe.
She has toured throughout Europe, Japan, the USA and Canada. She gained the Grand Prix title in the guitar festival in Antil, Netherlands. In 1997, she won a Czech grammy and did 2 tours with Francis Cabrel.
In June 2008 the Canadian singer Celine Dion chose Lenka to perform as a guest at her Prague concert in the O2 Arena.
Lenka will be playing a concert tonight 7 February at 6pm in the Cinemax – ZOC MAX complex, Štefániková street, Trenčín, with a good night guaranteed.
